A coyote suspected of biting a 2-year-old boy in the buttocks earlier this week in Broomfield was killed early Thursday by wildlife officers.
The boy was walking with his father and baby sister on an open- space path in the Anthem subdivision Monday night near Colorado 7 and Sheridan Boulevard when a coyote bit him in the lower back and buttocks area, knocking him to the ground, wildlife officers said. The boy was treated for puncture wounds and released. Colorado Parks and Wildlife said the coyote’s carcass will be tested for illness, although no disease is suspected.
