The family of Lydia Tillman, a 30-year-old woman who jumped from a second-story window in her burning Fort Collins apartment after she was attacked earlier this month, is planning to hold fundraisers to help her.

In a statement released through the Fort Collins Police Department, the Tillman family said it does not want to comment on the ongoing investigation and asked the media not to attend any of the fundraisers.

People interested making donations to help Tillman can contact Esther at estherscents@yahoo.com, the family said in the statement.

Police have charged 31-year-old Travis Forbes, who has claimed to be a suspect in the separate disappearance of a 19-year-old Denver woman, with attempted murder, arson, sexual assault, first-degree assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated motor-vehicle theft in connection with the Tillman incident, according to court records. His bail was set at $350,000.
