Lakewood police are asking the public to help them locate a “person of interest” in connection with Tuesday night’s fatal shooting in an apartment on Kendall Street.
Police said they are looking for Ivan Gutierrez, 34. Officers said they do not know what kind of car, if any, Gutierrez might be driving.
Shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday, officers arrived at an apartment complex at 1845 Kendall St. and found a man with a gunshot wound in a third-story apartment.
The man was pronounced dead at St. Anthony Hospital shortly afterward. His identity has not been released.
Police initially described the suspects as three men in their 20s, who were seen leaving the apartment building shortly after the shooting.
Officers found a “vehicle of interest,” a 2004 Chevrolet Blazer, license plate 261RYN, abandoned in the 3500 block of Jay Street on Wednesday night.
