MONTROSE, Colo.—The company that plans to build a uranium mill in Montrose County has enough nearby resources to supply the mill at anticipated levels.
That’s the conclusion of a report commissioned by Montrose County.
Energy Fuels Resources plans to begin operating the mill on 500 tons per day with the possibility of seeking permits to expand to 1,000 tons per day.
The report by Economic & Planning Systems says there is enough uranium to produce more than 2,600 tons per day at a minimum price of $50 per pound, according to the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel.
