FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A 56-year-old woman has been arrested after authorities found 15 dogs, two cats and four pygmy goats in the back of a rental truck.
The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office says the animals were suffering from dehydration and heat exhaustion.
Holiday Christie was accused of felony animal cruelty and obstruction. She was being held Wednesday at the Larimer County Jail on a $2,500 bond. An additional bond of $6,300 related to the care of the animals was issued by Larimer Humane Society.
Animal control officers say the temperature inside the vehicle was 106 degrees.
