ERIE, Colo.—A Denver police officer is facing charges of assault and disorderly conduct after police say he and a friend punched two men in the face following a dispute over which baseball game to watch on TV.
Kevin Carlile has been put on desk duty until an investigation is completed. His companion, Christopher Douglas, was also cited.
Witnesses said Carlile and Douglas were watching the Rockies game in a golf clubhouse bar when two other men picked up the remote and changed the channel to the final College World Series Championship game.
Police said words were exchanged and the dispute escalated to a physical confrontation, according to the Boulder Daily Camera.
