Two fires were successful fought today in Colorado’s forests.

The Overlook fire, outside of Glen Haven in the Roosevelt National Forest, is estimated to be five acres. It was reported 100 percent contained by 9 p.m., although firefighters were staying on the scene overnight.

More than 30 firefighters responded to the fire. Three retardant drops were made on the fire and a second single-engine air tanker was ordered to the scene.

In Summit County, 20 miles north of Silverthorne, near Green Mountain Reservoir, a grassfire was reported at 4:25 p.m., Steve Lipsher with the Lake Dillion Fire Protection District said. Crews are responded and the 2-acre fire was quickly contained. It was completely out by 8:30 p.m.
