GREELEY — A Greeley woman admitted to police using her 101-year-old patient’s credit cards for thefts totaling more than $4,000, saying she used them to buy gas for her friends, clothing for herself and some illegal drugs, the Greeley Tribune reports.
Adrienne Stagner, 28, was arrested Thursday night and charged with 31 counts of identity theft, possession of methamphetamines and possession of marijuana.
The Tribune said police were alerted to the possible thefts by the victim’s grandson, who discovered the older woman’s credit card had been used 19 times for cash advances in the past month.
Police said in the affidavit that Stagner used the woman’s credit card 19 times and her JCPenney’s card 10 times.
