BRECKENRIDGE, Colo.—Colorado mine regulators are planning to go underground to find ways to stop leaks from the Pennsylvania Mine from continuing to pollute water flowing into the Snake River.
Jeff Graves says a drill should arrive Monday to help regulators get into the 20th Century gold and silver mine.
Regulators told the Summit Daily News they see a noticeable spike in zinc concentrations when Peru Creek runs by the mine.
