A 32-year-old man died at Carter Lake after he fell from a personal watercraft this afternoon, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Department.
His name has not been released, pending notification of family.
The man was unresponsive when he was pulled from the water and taken to shore by a private boat at about 4:25 p.m. CPR efforts failed to resuscitate the man.
Witnesses said he was operating the personal watercraft with two passengers when he fell overboard, struggled to get back on the vessel then appeared to lose consciousness.
