Kenosha Pass was closed for about two and half hours this afternoon after a three-vehicle head-on crash left multiple people injured, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
At least one child was airlifted to the Children’s Hospital of Colorado in Aurora, and adults were taken to Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, said Trooper Nate Reid.
The number of people injured was not immediately available, but four medical helicopters had been requested, according to troopers.
The crash happened at about 2:15 p.m. on U.S. 285 in the Pike National Forest about 20 miles north of Fairplay, a spokesman said. The highway reopened at 2:45 p.m.
