ASPEN, Colo.—Representatives of both parties are visiting Colorado to raise money for the 2012 presidential race.
President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign has canceled or postponed a series of fundraisers because of ongoing negotiations over the nation’s debt limit. But First lady Michelle Obama will be in Aspen to help raise money for him on Tuesday.
She’ll also visit Salt Lake City, Utah for another fundraiser during her trip to the Rockies.
The chairman of the Republican National Committee, Reince Priebus (Rain-tz PREE’-bus), is also set to attend a fundraiser in Colorado on Tuesday.
Priebus is the former chairman of the Wisconsin GOP. The party picked him to replace Michael Steele in January.
