Getting your player ready...
Lowland waters along the Front Range and eastward have seen a sharp slowdown in action as water temperatures push into the high 70s and low 80s because of the hot weather.
Only the catfish and perch action remains good. Fishing early or late will improve chances of success for most species.
Even high-country waters are warming into the 60s. But rainbows continue to provide good action, especially with a fly and bubble rigs. North Park waters are reporting excellent action. Most rivers and streams are still running high, but they are fishable. Streamers remain a top choice for fly-fishermen.
