• Because of reporting and editing errors, Bill Johnson’s Sunday column incorrectly described the circumstances surrounding the death of Alonzo Ashley at the Denver Zoo. Denver police used a Taser on Ashley. Zoo security officers do not carry weapons. In addition, the column should have included that zoo officials say they did not ask Ashley to stop putting his head in the fountain where he was apparently seeking to cool off.
• Because of a reporting error, the title of John Gierach’s newest book was incorrect in an Outdoors story Wednesday on Page 8C. The book’s title is “No Shortage of Good Days.”
• Because of an editing error, the party affiliation of Gov. John Hickenlooper’s budget director, Henry Sobanet, was incorrect in a Page 1A story Wednesday about potential problems the debt-ceiling debate could cause in Colorado’s budget. Sobanet is a registered Republican.
