Hip new gardening site

The mission of the website and education campaign dubbed “Dig. Drop. Done” is to introduce flowering bulbs to a new generation of gardeners and demystify bulb-growing for avid gardeners. The site — promoted by Holland’s Royal Trade Association for Nursery Stock and Flower Bulbs — is packed with simple, inspiring and witty advice about caring for bulbs, which enthusiasts describe as “the little black dress of the flower world.”

Resort chic moves into the mall

The Vail-based firm Slifer Designs has long shaped high-country decorating trends. Now city dwellers can outfit their digs with that same casual mountain style as just this week, Slifer Designs opened a retail store in the Cherry Creek Shopping Center. Located on the mall’s upper level across from Neiman Marcus, the new 6,600-square-foot showroom highlights room vignettes that change weekly and includes such brands as Barclay Butera Lifestyles, Baker, Beeline Home, Hickory Chair, Lee Industries, Michael Aram, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams and William Yeoward. 3000 E.
