In honor of today’s celebration of Colorado’s statehood, Frontier Airlines and Southwest Airlines are offering Colorado Day fares to and from Denver, but customers have to act fast.

Southwest has fares as low as $24 one way if purchased before 12:59 a.m. MDT early Tuesday morning for travel between Sept. 7 and Nov. 12.

Sample fares are: $24 between Denver and Salt Lake City; $49 between Denver and Phoenix; $59 between Denver and Las Vegas, and $69 between Denver and Los Angeles.

Frontier’s one-way fares, if booked by 9:59 p.m. MDT Wednesday for travel through Dec. 15, include $9.99 to Albuquerque, $34 to Durango and Milwaukee, $44 to Salt Lake City and $49 to Tucson and Phoenix.

A 14-day advance purchase is required and blackout dates are Sept. 1, 2, 5, and Nov. 18, 19, 23 and 26-28.

The lowest fares are for flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Sunday travel is excluded from the sale.

Members of Frontier’s EarlyReturns frequent flyer program can earn double miles for every qualifying trip they take throughout September.
