The DaVinci Institute, a Louisville-based futurist think tank, has partnered with Edison Nation, a North Carolina-based entity offering a $25 million “innovation” fund for inventors, the Camera reported Wednesday.
As a result of the agreement, the DaVinci Institute will serve as a channel to connect the region’s inventors with the fund, said Thomas Frey, DaVinci’s executive director.
The innovation fund will provide an investment of up to $250,000 for qualified inventions, Frey said, adding that the investment comes with a 50-50 ownership split.
