Getting your player ready...

Neoprene and spandex compression shorts have been around for a long time. Athletes in virtually every major sport use them for the support that they provide to their legs and core. This support can help prevent injuries and also allow the muscles to perform at max levels for longer periods of time. The biggest drawback to these shorts is that they can be somewhat bulky and just plain hot in very warm weather.

Now, Under Armour has come up with the Coreshort. The Coreshort is a lighter version of its heavier cousin, yet it provides the same stability to your back, hips and pelvis, while supporting your groin, quads, glutes and hamstrings.

On the golf course, I gain 3 to 5 yards off the tee. This added performance simply comes from the support the shorts give my muscles, which in turn allows my muscles to give me more power. On the pricey side at $60, Coreshorts’ support, performance and comfort are worth it.
