VAIL, Colo.—Sheriff’s officials say someone who broke into a home in Vail in broad daylight took about $100,000 worth of jewelry.

Eagle County sheriff’s officials say the burglar made a forced entry into the locked, single-family home Tuesday and ransacked it while the owner was away.

Authorities say anyone who submits a tip that leads to an arrest or indictment may be eligible to receive up to a $1,000 reward from Crime Stoppers.
