DENVER—Denver police officers killed a suspect early Saturday after a car chase from a home where a man was tied up.

Denver Police Lt. Matt Murray told KMGH-TV () that shots were fired at the home sometime after 8 a.m. but no one was hit. Neighbors said a man who was at the home was tied up and that a woman inside ran into the street screaming for help.

Murray said that police used a stolen vehicle recovery device to track the suspect as he was fleeing. After a brief chase, officers stopped the Jeep and fired at the suspect. He has not been identified.

It was not immediately clear if the suspect was armed or what prompted the shooting.
