Boulder police are looking for a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman while she slept early Saturday morning.

A 20-year-old woman told police she awoke about 2:30 a.m. to find a white man with medium brown wavy or curly hair sexually assaulting her. When she got up to call for help, the man left.

Police believe the man entered the apartment in the 1100 block of Grandview Avenue through an unlocked door.

Officers said the man as slightly older than “college-aged,” perhaps 25, and said he was wearing only a yellow T-shirt with possibly green lettering on the front.

He may have been on drugs or alcohol at the time of the assault, police said.

Boulder police are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Chuck Heidel at 303-441-3339 or the Boulder Police Department’s Tip Line at 303-441-1974. People who want to leave anonymous tips may contact Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or 1-800-444-3776.
