Altitude will air seven high school football games this fall, and CET will show three games a week beginning Sept. 1.
Altitude’s slate begins with a Week 1 match-up between private school powers Valor Christian and Regis Jesuit.
That game, which pits two-time defending champion Valor Christian — the Eagles won Class 3A in 2009 and 4A last season — against 5A runner-up Regis Jesuit at 7 p.m. Sept. 2.
Valor Christian is the overwhelming favorite to repeat in 4A behind the McCaffrey brothers. Christian, a sophomore running back, was among the state’s rushing leaders last season. Max, a senior wide receiver, has committed to Duke.
Regis Jesuit is seeking to take the next step this season. The Raiders, who claim arguably the state’s top overall athletic program, lost to Mullen in last season’s 5A title game.
Regis Jesuit won last year’s game with Valor Christian, 25-21.
Mullen, Cherry Creek and ThunderRidge will each have two games shown on the network this season. That includes the rivalry game between Mullen and Creek, which is set for Sept. 23 at the Stutler Bowl.
Other highlights include a Grandview-Cherry Creek tilt on Sept. 30 and Arapahoe-Mullen (Oct. 21).
Altitude will use Chris Marlowe, Kyle Keefe and Mike Haynes as play-by-play talent, with Blake Olson doing color. Julie Browman and Maya Starks will handle sideline reports and halftime features.
CET, available on channel 105 to Comcast subscribers, opens its schedule with a Fruita Monument-Broomfield match-up in Zero Week. Thereafter, the network will broadcast three games a week through the end of the regular season.
All CET broadcasts are tape-delayed, airing the week following the game.
Among the highlights of the CET schedule is Sept. 9, which has both the Regis Jesuit-Arvada West tilt and the Mountain Vista-Pomona match-up.
CET will also show both The Bell Game (Pueblo Central and Pueblo Centennial) and The Cannon Game (Pueblo East and Pueblo South) from Pueblo.
Root Sports’ schedule is set to be released this week.
