Denver police hope surveillance pictures lead to the capture of a man who attempted to rape a woman in a Denver Pavilions elevator bay at about 1 a.m. Sunday.
The woman had gotten onto the elevator to the parking deck along the 16th Street Mall, when the man followed her in, then followed her out at level P1.
He struck her and attempted to rape her, before running away and north on the mall, police said.
Surveillance cameras caught photos of the man just before the attack.
He is described as Hispanic, 5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 130 to 140 pounds.
He had a small tattoo before his right elbow.
