SAN FRANCISCO — Carlos Beltran had a cortisone shot to address pain and inflammation in his right hand and is considered doubtful to play tonight at Florida, Giants manager Bruce Bochy said Thursday.
Beltran missed the past three games after feeling a sharp pain while taking a swing Sunday. X-rays and an MRI ruled out any fractures or other structural damage, but Beltran was unable to swing when he tried Wednesday.
Bochy acknowledged that Beltran could be headed to the disabled list if he couldn’t play tonight.
