PUEBLO — A Pueblo woman facing murder charges in the 2009 case of a man stabbed and set on fire has won a judge’s review of her police interviews after her lawyers argued she was on methamphetamine and did not voluntarily waive her rights.
Attorneys for 32-year-old Acacia Lyndarr made the argument Friday. District Judge David Crockenberg agreed to review tapes of the interviews before hearing arguments next month.
Lyndarr, along with Aaron Wilkerson and Brandon Armijo, face first-degree murder charges in the death of Robert Piserchio. Prosecutors say Piserchio died in a robbery gone bad. An autopsy determined he died from a heart attack as a result of a beating. A fourth man, Matthew Barnes, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and has agreed to testify against the others.
