COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Authorities say an Army soldier believed to be AWOL is suspected of abducting his 1-month-old daughter.
Colorado Springs police say they’re searching for 24-year-old Derik Hembree and that he is wanted on a warrant for allegedly violating a custody order. The Denver Post reported Monday ( ) that a 29-year-old woman obtained a restraining order against Hembree last month.
It wasn’t immediately known were Hembree is stationed. The newspaper reported that Hembree has lived in Saint Peters, Mo., and Apache Junction, Ariz.
