It’s official: Voters in Boulder will decide the city’s “energy future” this fall.

The Daily Camera reported that City Council unanimously gave final approval Tuesday night to two ballot measures that will allow voters to decide in November whether the city should break free from Xcel Energy and form its own electric utility.

“I think it’s time to move forward and let the citizens vote,” said Councilwoman Lisa Morzel.
