A car trying to avoid debris on Interstate 25 hit a parked police car this morning.

The marked police car was in the southbound lane near Alameda Avenue, neither the officer or the person drivng the car were injured, said Det. John White.

At approximately 7 a.m. debris from a truck fell onto the interstate near Alameda Boulevard in the southbound lanes.

Denver Police responded to the scene to help direct traffic during the clean up.

The Colorado Department of Transportation said traffic was still moving through the four lanes during the clean up.
