Southbound Interstate 25 is open again this afternoon after a fatal motorcycle accident near Loveland this morning.
The Colorado State Patrol responded to a single-vehicle crash on I-25 near U.S. 34 around 10 a.m. Two people were riding the motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was transported to Medical Center of the Rockies, said Cpl. Eric Wynn with the state patrol.
The names of the two riders are not being released at this time. State patrol is conducting an investigation at the scene.
The interstate was reopened around 12:30 p.m.
