Fire crews quickly extinguished a wildfire in Boulder County Tuesday night.
At 6:35 p.m., crews were called about a fire in the Big Elk Park area, near the Trevarton Ranch, according to a news release from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
The blaze was in the Roosevelt National Forest, about a quarter of a mile south of the Boulder County line.
The fire, likely started by a lightening strike, was burning in a 20-foot diameter area.
The Allenspark Fire Department and the U.S. Forest Service responded to the fire.
Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire and the scene was cleared by 9:20 p.m.
