Police today released information on a bank robber who hit at least two metro-area banks in a one-month period, including one yesterday.

The TCF Bank, 3720 Quebec St., Denver, was robbed on Thursday when a man handed a note to a teller and showed a handgun, according to a Crime Stoppers media release. The robber took the money and fled.

On July 26 the same robber hit the US Bank, 4600 Leetsdale Drive in Glendale, police said.

The robber is described as black man, about 40, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and heavyset. The robber wore a light brown wig during the robbery.

Police believe the same robber was spotted, acting suspiciously, in a southeast Aurora bank on Aug. 19.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the photos, or has information on a possible suspect, is asked to call the Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force at 303 629-7171, or Crime Stoppers at 720 913-7867.
