Doug Eibling, the 2013 director for the Solheim Cup, one of the most prominent events in women’s golfing, moved with his wife and daughter to Highlands Ranch in 2009 to be closer to Parker and the Colorado Golf Club, where the golf tournament will take place two years from now.

The Solheim Cup 2013 will take place Aug. 13-18 with three days for practice and three days for matches between the United States and European LPGA 12-member teams. Currently, the U.S. team holds the cup with a 8-3 lead. When the tournament was held in Chicago in 2009, about 120,000 people visited, producing $19.4 million in economic impact to the region, according to Eibling.
