Police are investigating a robbery in Colorado Springs after an armed man allegedly robbed a convenience store early this morning.
At 12:30 a.m., officers were called to the Diamond Shamrock at 1740 Jet Wing Drive, when a robbery alarm was activated at the store, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department’s blotter.
After arriving, officers learned that a man wearing all black and a bandana over his face, entered the store waving a black handgun.
The man fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash and some merchandise.
A police dog was used to help search for the suspect, who ran in a westbound direction before turning south and entering a waiting vehicle.
No one was injured an no additional suspect information was available.
