DENVER—A third Denver Public Schools board member who overspent her $5,000 annual expense account says she’ll repay some charges, after she reviews her expenses.

The Denver Post had reported Andrea Merida overspent her account by about $8,159. Board President Nate Easley was about $463 over. Member Arturo Jimenez overspent by about $1,624.

Easley wrote a check to the district for his excess expenses, and Jimenez has said he’ll do the same.

Merida initially said Easley approved all her expenses and that she wouldn’t reimburse the district.

On Thursday, Merida told The Post ( ) she’ll repay some expenses but wants to make sure certain expenses weren’t counted toward her $5,000 limit. For instance, five board members including Merida are reimbursed for a phone line, but that doesn’t count against the limit.
