Sew and spend
As part of the Quilt Your Colors contest going on now at Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, skilled sewers can create a quilt, then enter it for a chance to win a $5,000 grand prize. What type of quilts will catch the judges’ eyes? “Participants are encouraged to take their quilting skills and talents to new creative heights by submitting their finest work” created with materials from Jo-Ann Fabric stores, according to a company statement about the contest. Second-, third- and fourth-place prizes also will be awarded. For details and entry guidelines: .
