I can still remember the flood of texts draining my cell phone battery during this year’s South by Southwest music festival — all related to this band that had just performed in NASCAR suits. has been on virtually everyone’s radar this year, and for good reason. The Detroit duo’s debut full length, “It’s A Corporate World,” contains some of the most affable, toe-tapping, generally pleasurable indie-pop-rock in recent memory. The harmonies and textures are lush without seeming overly complex or inaccessible. See what I mean on “Nothing But Our Love,” it might be my single favorite Mile Marker recording we’ve ever done. Stream and download the session below, and come back next week for more. –John Hendrickson
