The third annual Indian Arts Market and Powwow is today at Woodland Park’s Memorial Park. Be there by noon to see the Grand Entry, featuring American Indian dancers in full regalia. Drummers, dancers and artists will showcase their expertise. Horsehair- basket makers, flute makers, pueblo potters, birds-of-prey and wolf wildlife demonstrations are among the offerings. Honor our troops
Bass Pro Shops nationwide are “Honoring Our Heroes” this weekend and next weekend. Free cooking demos, prize drawings, remote-control car races, tire-roll competitions and other family activities will be offered. Donations of new or gently used DVDs, video games and books will be sent to troops who won’t be home for the holidays.

The 2011 Parade of Homes,sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver, runs through Labor Day and highlights more than 60 new homes priced from the mid- $140,000s to $1.6 million. Houses are open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Free.

A Colorado tradition since 1984, A Taste of Coloradoboasts live music, carnival rides, delectable food, an arts and crafts marketplace, vendor contests and prizes, and even a sports zone to get the latest scores. Keep the dirty side down
OK, so maybe you can’t hear these engines rumble any longer, but you can still see them in all their glory: The Timme Vintage Motorcycle Collection exhibit at the Forney Museum of Transportation. This display includes more than 50 vintage Indian, Honda and other motorcycles that ripped it up in their day. Admission is $4 to $8; kids 3 and under get in free. 4303 Brighton Blvd. 303-297-1113 .
