Eastbound I-76 near Fort Morgan reopened at about 10 a.m. this morning after a nearly four-hour closure.
Two women were airlifted to the Northern Colorado Medical Center with serious injuries after their vehicle rolled over, said Trooper Heather Cobler, a spokeswoman for the Colorado State Patrol.
The cause of the crash of the grey Mercury Mountaineer is under investigation, she said.
The interstate closed at 5:48 this morning due to an accident near mile marker 79, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
Traffic was diverted onto Highway 144 during the cleanup and investigation of the accident.
