Civic Center Park and the surrounding main streets of Capitol Hill continue to gain positive traction in the form of high-profile events, but Labor day weekend welcomed a long-standing, annual staple in the form of Taste of Colorado. Locals and out-of-towners came in thousands to partake in food, drinks and live music on Saturday, the first brisk day since spring. The event was well-organized, and with the massive crowd, the lines for food and beer flowed at an acceptable pace. There was plenty to do for the all-ages crowd and even more people-watching to close out the last holiday weekend of the summer.
