LITTLETON, Colo.—Authorities in Jefferson County are investigating the death of a person found inside a burned home.
A fire was reported in a house in the Ken Caryl (Carol) area on Wednesday morning. Sheriff’s office spokesman Mark Techmeyer said the back of the home was on fire when firefighters arrived. After they extinguished the blaze, he said firefighters found a body inside.
Authorities haven’t said whether the person found dead is a man or a woman.
Techmeyer said authorities are investigating how the fire started and how the person died.
