What’s in a uniform anywayor the recognizable school colors representing that uniform?
Nike doesn’t appear too worried about it.
Already, Boise State, Georgia and Oregon have worn Nike’s alternative Pro Combat football uniforms this season.
Now, according to Rivals.com, six more schools are joining in.
First up is Michigan State, and it unveiled new green-and- bronze uniforms Tuesday for its Oct. 15 game against Michigan. Coach Mark Dantonio told The Associated Press the design is “cutting edge” and the uniforms will “make a statement” for one game.
Dantonio says his players are excited about what Nike came up with. LSU will use them in its Oct. 22 game against Auburn; Ohio State puts them on Oct. 29 to take on Wisconsin; and Stanford will play Notre Dame on Nov. 27 sporting them.
And, in a game where Pro Combat unis makes sense, Army and Navy will wear them when the schools meet in December.
