A traffic accident this morning on E-470 killed one man, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The single-vehicle crash happened at about 5:30 a.m. on the highway near Peoria Street, said Sgt. Mike Baker, a state patrol spokesman.

The 1995 Chevrolet truck, registered out of Utah, was traveling eastbound on E-470 when it drifted off the left side of the road. The driver, an unidentified man from Utah, tried to correct the truck before sliding off the right side of the road.

The truck then rolled three times, ejecting the man.

The man, the only person in the truck, was not wearing a seat belt. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors in the accident.
