The Zarlengo Foundation did pretty well for itself by having Jay Leno headline its annual benefit. The host of “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” not only had the audience in stitches during a stand-up routine at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, he made a surprise donation of $10,000 to the Denver-based nonprofit that funds specialized education for children with learning disabilities. Big crowd, many sales at Art for Life
The Artwork Network gallery on Santa Fe Drive was bursting at the seams when 550 friends of Project Angel Heart arrived for the 10th anniversary Art for Life silent auction and cocktail party. Bidders could choose from 100 pieces donated by some of Colorado’s best-known artists, as well as juried selections from emerging artists from Denver School of the Arts and the Art Students League of Denver.
