GOLDEN — The 10th annual Second Wind 5K and Music Festival was held in Golden on Sunday to raise money for teen-suicide prevention.

About 3,500 people participated in the race, and 10 bands played along the route, including Opie Gone Bad.

The event gives support to the 25 percent of young people who struggle with thoughts of suicide every year.

Money raised from the event goes to help provide professional therapy for free to uninsured or underinsured teens who are at risk for suicide.

This is the largest event for teen suicide prevention in the nation. 9News
