SUMMIT COUNTY — One person was killed in a motorcycle accident in Summit County on Sunday.

The crash happened at 5:49 p.m. on U.S. 6 about a half mile from the summit of Loveland Pass, said Colorado State Trooper Nate Reid.

The rider’s name and gender were not immediately available because of spotty radio reception in the area, he said.

The person died at the crash scene, and a companion was riding another bike that wasn’t involved in the accident, Reid said.
