Two men were in custody and a third man was in critical condition at Denver Health Medical Center after authorities say an early-morning argument in the 800 block of Lincoln Street turned violent.
Denver police responded to a reported shooting at 2:30 a.m. Sunday and found a man who had been shot.
Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson said two groups got into an argument on the street across from a 7-Eleven and that one person pulled a gun.
Names of the alleged assailants and the victim aren’t being released pending further investigation.
There are a number of clubs and bars in the area.
Jackson said it’s too early to know what prompted the argument, whether the groups came from the clubs or whether the shooting was gang-related.
