Reality TV gives viewers a glimpse into the lives of others – famous celebrities, or soon-to-be – following their trials and tribulations with more than a handful of drama along the way.
Viewers get to peek into the homes where reality TV celebrities live, or where they stayed during the filming of the show and sometimes the scenes are not so pretty. Pets run rampant, , celebs fight to save their homes from foreclosure, and then there are the occasional domestic flare-ups. The majority of homes are located in Los Angeles and most of them have several thousand feet of living space, as well as a pool and many other TV-worthy amenities.
What is the status of these homes now? Many of these — stuck on the real estate market with huge price cuts — or, were recently sold. Here’s a rundown:

From 2002 through 2005, viewers were entertained by the family life of Ozzy Osbourne, his wife Sharon Osbourne and two of their children, Jack and Kelly, as well as the antics of their many dogs in. Much of the show was filmed in the Osbourne’s home – an enormous and eclectic estate in Beverly Hills. Shortly after the show ended, the family sold the home to singer Christina Aguilera for $11.5 million. However, with Xtina’s recent divorce, , which features a master suite with a raised-bed platform, red chandeliers, and curving staircase. Currently, the diva has the property listed for $13.5 million, but seeing that (currently $ 1,911,800) are dropping year-over-year, and the home has been on the market for over six months, Aguilera could face a price cut.

Lauren Conrad, or “LC” as she was called in her younger days on Laguna Beach, picked up a Hollywood Spanish-style estate in 2008 for $2.36 million while she was filming the popular reality show “.” Lauren and her best friend Lo Bosworth moved into the main house, while another cast member, Audrina Patridge moved into the detached guest house (.) Now that the show is long over, and Lauren has distanced herself as a fashion designer and blogger, and has placed it on the market for $2.25 million — less than her purchase price. Not only was “The Hills” home a great setting for catfights, it’s filled with beautiful touches like refinished hardwood floors, wrought-iron railings and Spanish floor tiles.

Like some of its contestants, the didn’t last long as a reality house. It disappeared before the season was over due to a myriad of reasons, headlined by reports of haunting. . However, the icing on the cake was probably the leaking roof and producers had the singers move out. The home was then listed on the market for $12 million. Apparently the new buyer was able to use the haunting to their advantage and negotiated the final price down to $11.2 million. The Tuscan-style compound sits on over two acres and has 9 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, 28-foot-high ceilings in the great room, and dual, winding staircases in the grand entry.

The 5-bedroom, 4.5-bath house is presently listed for $2,895,000 and its history includes some major price chops. are currently $1,535,400.

Sometimes a reality TV show is not the best way to keep love alive, as was demonstrated by Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey in their TV show “The Newlyweds.” The show ran for three seasons, ending in 2005. The couple announced their separation shortly after and then their love nest appeared on the market for $3.4 million. It later sold to “Malcolm in the Middle” star Justin Tyler Berfield. . Turns out even modern architecture and over 6,000 square feet of living space wasn’t enough of a sway for buyers in a down market.

This was the home of America’s most neurotic flipper – Jeff Lewis of Bravo’s real estate docu-series “.” Lewis’ popular show, featuring his trusty assistant, Jenni Pulos, and housekeeper Zoila Chavez, gives us a front-row seat to the stresses and anxieties that surround the business of flipping high-end homes in L.A. This home is in the market and was known as “Valley Oak Two.” It was one of Lewis’ flip projects as well as his personal residence for a while. Lewis purchased the home in March 2007 for $1,710,000, fixed it up, then listed it on the market in 2008 for $3,195,000. The price was reduced all the way to $2,495,000 before it sold for $2,325,000 on October 12, 2010.
