A 28-year-old Western Slope woman died in an all-terrain vehicle accident over the weekend.
The accident happened Sunday south of Palisade, according to the Mesa County Coroner’s Office.
Nichole Mease, 28, of Grand Junction, was driving an ATV up a steep hill when she lost control of the vehicle, the coroner’s office said.
Mease, who was not wearing a helmet, died of multiple injuries and her death has been ruled an accident.
The coroner’s office described Mease as an “inexperienced” ATV driver.
