BOULDER — Environmental activist Adrienne Anderson, 59 — a former University of Colorado instructor who lost her job in 2005, adding fuel to an academic freedom debate — died earlier this month after battling a brain tumor, according to the Daily Camera.

Anderson was a whistle-blower who challenged polluters and worked for Boulder’s Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Center and labor unions, according to her friend Judith Mohling.
