GOLDEN, Colo.—The U.S. Forest Service is planning prescribed burns this fall on Denver Water land near Foxton in Jefferson County.
The Forest Service says work could begin this week.
The purpose is to reduce the amount of wood fuel left on the ground from past forest restoration activities.
The Forest Service says it wants to reduce hazardous fuels and improve grass production in the ponderosa pine forest.
